On July 30, a Central Asia-bound train loaded with stainless steel pipes, forklifts, elevators and heaters departed from the East China International Intermodal Hub in Jinhua, Zhejiang, heading via Khorgos to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
According to the latest data from Hangzhou Customs, as of July 29, Zhejiang China-Europe trains had run 1,862 trains this year, shipping 152,000 TEU, up 0.3% year-on-year — a record high for the same period.
Cargo composition shows a rising share of high value-added products such as electromechanical equipment and metal goods, reflecting the ongoing upgrade of Zhejiang's manufacturing export structure.
Leveraging the hub advantages of the East China International Intermodal Hub, Zhejiang China-Europe trains now operate a stable network covering multiple countries in Central Asia and Europe, providing efficient and reliable international rail logistics for regional trading companies.
